Getting to Exuma
Daily direct flights to Exuma (GGT) originate from Miami & Charlotte American Airlines, Fort Lauderdale Silver Airways and Nassau Bahamas Air,Western Air, and from Toronto Air Canada and Atlanta Delta several times a week.
Flight times are 35 minutes from Nassau and 70 minutes from Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
Getting around by Car
The best way to get around the island and explore more of the beautiful beaches and other interesting parts of Exuma, we recommend renting a car. There are 4 rental car companies directly opposite the airport. We recommend a reservation in advance. Driving is on the left side of the road and all passengers are required by law to wear seatbelts. Always observe the speed limits and although the roads are getting better, there are still many potholes and hazards to navigate.
Getting around by Taxi
On request, we will organize a taxi to greet our guests at the airport and will bring them to TURTLES NEST BAHAMAS. The taxi driver will be paid directly in cash by our guests. From the airport to the house, they charge USD 35 for 2 people. Additional fee apply for each extra person.
Getting around by Scooter or Bicycle
Scooters and bicycles are available to rent in George Town. Although the roads are getting better, there are still many potholes and hazards to navigate and we would not recommend it because of a safety standpoint.

The TURTLES NEST BAHAMAS is located at Hooper’s Bay on Great Exuma in the center of the Bahamas, less than 15 minutes from the Exuma International Airport (GGT). The house enjoys a quiet hilltop position with distant views along the island and sea whilst only walking distance from one of the most famous beaches on the island.
